I made a start on my tank background tonight. First job, trim the sheets so they fit under the bracing in the tank.
I have at my disposal a 110v hot knife, that you can just make out in the photo below. This is fabulous for cutting polystyrene!

After that, I stacked a few sheets together and started shaping. You may wonder why I went to the effort of painting the tank when I am fitting a background. Here's why:
I've spent about 40 minutes on the background so far. The large piece on the back is around 6" thick and needs a lot of cutting to reduce it down.
